Rochdale Council documents found outside football ground

Hundreds of council documents containing personal information were found strewn across the street outside a football ground.

Fans on their way to Rochdale's home match with Wycombe at Spotland found lists of names, addresses and phone numbers and a series of political papers.

They included parts of the electoral register, a list of Labour party members in areas of Rochdale and planning applications.

Town hall bosses have now launched an investigation to establish how the documents were lost.

My comment: Proof, once again, that you can't trust a public authority with our personal information.
