Social worker struck off

A social worker was struck off yesterday for putting a dangerous teenage paedophile with a foster family - where he carried out sex attacks on their two children.

Julian Swan failed to tell the unsuspecting family the 19-year-old had a history of 'sexually inappropriate behaviour ' with children.

Swan, who had been a social worker for eight years, claimed he was being made a 'scapegoat' for mistakes by social services officials. 'I have been scape-goated by the Vale of Glamorgan council.'

My comment: Julian Swan didn't read the abuser's file before placing him with the family. Julian Swan was not fit to be a Social Worker and got what he deserved. Just a pity he wasn't exposed as an incompetent before this horrendous case.
