CONFIDENTIAL files on 25 people were on a computer stolen from the home of a Kirklees Council employee.
None of the information was encrypted and no one at Kirklees Council has been disciplined as a result.
Iinformation lost included names, addresses and long term health needs in the theft at an employee’s home in March 2011.
My comment: The person who should be sacked is the one who allowed unencrypted personal details to be stored on a none password protected laptop.
