A former Cumbrian councillor faces more charges

A former Cumbrian councillor accused of raping a boy will now also face nine charges of indecently assaulting another child in the 1970s. Tony Brunskill, 65, was charged earlier this year by Cumbria police with three counts of rape and one of inciting a boy to engage in sexual activity.

Brunskill had represented the Lazonby ward in Eden as an independent since 1991.
