THE leader of Exeter City Council has said the authority's credit card spending is carefully regulated – even though it did not provide a breakdown of spending when requested to do so.
Exeter City Council and Devon County Council were among local authorities that failed to provide details of their spending over £500 on credit cards, upon request by the Daily Telegraph using Freedom of Information laws.
My comment: And who carefully regulates the use of council credit cards? Why the council of course. Whilst at the same time refusing to provide details. So what have they got to hide?
Does anyone know if councillors / council officers have access to a bumper book of stupid things to say?
