Police officer is suspended over charges of misconduct

A DERBYSHIRE police officer is to appear in crown court over alleged misconduct in public office. Pc Jasbir Dhanda faces 11 charges.

A spokesman for the CPS said: "A file of evidence relating to this case has been reviewed by a senior crown prosecutor from CPS East Midlands, who in March advised Derbyshire police to charge Mr Dhanda with six counts of misconduct in a public office and five breaches of the Data Protection Act.
