Police ignoring four in 10 crimes

FOUR in 10 crimes are ignored by Britain’s biggest police force, according to figures released yesterday.

The Metropolitan Police admitted it did not investigate 361,180 incidents last year – 43% of 824,495 reported – after a Freedom of Information request.

Funny how the Police can find the time to do the bidding of councillors but can't find the time for serious crimes. Probably a case of he who pays the piper calls the tune. Pity they don't appear to realise it's the taxpayer and not Local Authorities who actually pay their wages because one day taxpayers may just say enough is enough. Maybe elected Police Chiefs are the answer then the electorate can kick them out when they waste their time and resources sucking up to councillors instead of protecting the rights of the public to attend council meetings.
