Policeman given 12 months for misconduct in public office

A MARRIED policeman who had sex with a woman while he was on duty was jailed for 12 months today. Pc Nicholas Stone, 40, was told by a judge that as a serving police officer he had abused the public’s trust placed in him.

Jailing Stone for 12 months, Judge Graham Cottle, The Recorder of Exeter, said that he regarded the victim’s evidence in court as “accurate and truthful”. "She complained to your superiors who dealt with it in a highly inappropriate and shameful way."

My comment: Sounds like his superiors also abused the public's trust, no jail for them?
