NEARLY 3,000 public officials have pension pots worth over £1.1million, it emerged last night.
The lavish retirement funds racked up by top civil servants, quangocrats and town hall chiefs guarantee incomes of more than £67,000 a year.
A private-sector employee on an average income would need more than 600 years to build up equivalent pension rights.
